Obama’s voter approval ratings drop to its lowest in Ohio, caused by IRS and DoJ scandals

Obama’s voter approval ratings in Ohio have dropped to its lowest, according to a Quinnipiac poll, and which indicate how the President is viewed by Ohio residents, only a year after electing him into power.

Summing up why Obama’s approval ratings have dropped, Peter A. Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute, said, “President Obama’s fortunes in the Buckeye state have turned. Since last December he has lost 10 points among Democrats and 17 points among independent voters. He has gone from a 20-point approval margin among women to a 9-point disapproval margin among female voters.”

While one poll might not give one a clear indication as to why the President’s approval ratings, it has been noticed that his ratings have been on a steady decline ever since December 2012 when it was at its highest standing at 54 percent.

With this latest poll revealing his ratings at 40 percent, experts conclude that the reason for the decline is because of the scandals that have surfaced over the months with IRS’ scrutiny and the Department of Justice’s tactics against journalists meeting with disapproval from many quarters.

This disapproval has been made apparent with the percentage of people who think that the President is honest and trustworthy dropping from 57 to 52 percent since November 2011. It must also be pointed out that despite the economy showing signs of improvement, his numbers are still getting worse.

However, with the Presidential elections due to be held in 2016, things can change for the President as Hillary Clinton, most-probably candidate for the Democrats, might take on Chris Christie, one of the Republican Party’s most influential politicians.
