45% Of Americans Approve Of Obama On Economy, Still A Top Issue

According to two new polls, a NBC News/ Wall Street Journal poll and an ABC News/ Washington Post survey, 45% of American approve of Obama’s effort to rebuild the economy. If anything, it clearly indicates that the economy is still a top issue on their minds.

What the overall results of the polls also indicate is that Americans are divided on the President’s job performance.

According to the aforementioned polls that were conducted between July 16-21, his disapproval ratings stand at 51% and 49% and comes at a time when the President is just kicking a series of speeches so as to refocus their attention to the American economy.

When it came to the CNN Poll of Polls, the results were no different, with the President’s approval ratings at 45% and disapproval ratings at 47%. What makes these numbers unmistakably authentic is that it takes into account all four non-partisan, live operator polls conducted this week while taking the average of these surveys.

Even if the President might have gotten used to receiving low ratings in these poll over the years, this figure of 45% comes close to his lowest-ever poll ratings of 44% that was registered in August 2011 after the debt-ceiling issue. Finally, almost 56% were uncertain or pessimistic about the remainder of Obama’s second term as President.

As for Congress, almost 83% of the participants showed their disapproval for the way Washington is doing its job – it is the lowest ratings that they have received ever.

Without a doubt, voters are clearly unhappy with Washington as a whole, and are trying to convey the fact that their representatives don’t get it yet.
