Is Obama a One-Term President?

Obama – a one-term President. For a while now, Republicans, especially candidates in the primaries under way, certainly seem to think so that Obama’s presidency will come to an end in November 2012. Experts seem to think otherwise despite an unemployment rate that’s high and weak economic growth.

History also presents a similar picture – with the example of Ronald Reagan who found himself in the position that Obama is in, and still won the 1984 elections. So, is it possible that Obama can win the Presidency to the White House, and lay to rest this title that has dogged him for some time now?

The only honest answer to this question is a “don’t know” because predicting the outcome of the upcoming elections can be considered a gamble as Obama can so easily turn things around during this year.

Democratic candidates believe that if he is able to convince people that Congress refused to work with him, he might get reelected again, thanks to a GOP-controlled House of Representatives that are in the public eye these days for their intransigence.

If that’s not enough, Obama has raised almost $ 70 million in the third quarter alone, and it was estimated that almost 1 million people had contributed funds to his reelection in 2012. But that’s not all – in a recently conducted Gallup poll, Obama was tied with Romney and beat both McCain and Perry.

And if there’s anything that should count in the run to the Presidential Election in 2012, the current approval ratings will matter, just as it has in any other election in the past.
