President Obama Nominates Two to Serve as U.S. Attorneys

WASHINGTON, DC – Today, President Obama nominated Patrick A. Miles, Jr. and Danny C. Williams, Sr. to serve as U.S. Attorneys for the Western District of Michigan and the Northern District of Oklahoma, respectively.

“These two men have proven themselves to be top-flight attorneys, and I am confident that they will ensure justice is served as United States Attorneys,” President Obama.
Patrick A. Miles, Jr.:  Nominee for United States Attorney, Western District of Michigan
Patrick A. Miles, Jr. has been a partner with Dickinson Wright PLLC since 2006.  Prior to this, he practiced law with Varnum, Riddering, Schmidt & Howlett LLP, first as an associate from 1991 to 1996 and then as a partner from 1997 to 2006.  Miles graduated from Aquinas College in 1988 and earned his law degree from Harvard Law School in 1991.

Danny C. Williams, Sr.: Nominee for United States Attorney, Northern District of Oklahoma
Danny C. Williams, Sr. has been a partner at the firm of Charney, Buss & Williams since 2003.  Prior to becoming partner, Williams worked as an associate for Bodenhamier and Levinson from 2000 to 2003 and for Riggs, Abney, Neal, Turpen, Orbinson & Lewis from 1993 to 2000.  From 1991 to 1993, Williams served as an Assistant District Attorney in the Tulsa County District Attorney’s Office.  He graduated from Dillard University in 1988 and earned his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1991.
