17, 2009 Barack Obama takes the same train journey as President Abraham Lincoln from Philadelphia to Washington on a 137 mile whistle stop trip. Obama's train, known as the Obama Express, stopped in Wilmington, Delaware to pick up Joe Biden, and a stop in Baltimore where he delivered another speech. Abraham Lincoln delivered over 100 speeches on his 1861 train journey. |
