President Obama's Middle East envoy George Mitchell meets with the Saudi
Minister of State for Foreign Affairs in Riyadh (top
left and bottom right). Mitchell then flies to Amman to meet with
Jordan's King Abdullah at Biet al-Urdon Palace (top and
bottom right). A Sunni Muslim votes in Provincial elections in Ramadi,
Iraq. President Obama praised the Provincial elections
as "an important step forward" for Iraq (bottom right).
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmandinejad (center) said Obama's
willingness to talk shows a deep fundamental change in the US and says
this shows the US policy of domination has failed.
