Joe Arpaio, Arizona’s Sheriff, has come to the conclusion that President Obama’s birth certificate isn’t original, thanks to the assistance of volunteer investigators.
Speaking at a news conference recently, he said, “At the very least, I can tell you this, based on all of the evidence presented and investigated, I cannot in good faith report to you that these documents are authentic. My investigators believe that the long-form birth certificate was manufactured electronically and that it did not originate in a paper format as claimed by the White House.”
This announcement comes at a time when Arpaio is not only seeking for reelection but is also being charged by the federal government in a civil suit for racially profiling Latinos, thanks to his taking a tough stand against illegal immigration and law and order.
Now, it’s also apparent that he’s behind another conservative issue which is known as the “birther issue” which claims that Obama wasn’t born in the United States, when the President has made mention of it several times that he was born in Hawaii.
Whether this is true or not, since the requirement of running for President is being a natural-born citizen, this ‘development’ only raises the question as to whether Obama is eligible to serve as the President of the United States.
On the other hand, Hawaii officials have responded to these allegations saying that Obama’s birth certificate is indeed valid, and the statement made by Sheriff Arpaio is completely false. It is also probably the reason why the Obama campaign has stopped commenting on these questions raised about his birth.
