John Boehner criticizes President Obama for ignoring Republicans, has lined up a bill to defund ObamaCare

John Boehner has lambasted the President for negotiating with Vladimir Putin over Syria’s chemical weapons while ignoring Republicans in Congress completely over matters that pertain to the economic security of the American people.

He has also lined up a bill for Washington to vote on so as to defund ObamaCare – and knowingly too, since it is a condition that Democrats will not agree to, and which would result in no stopgap spending bill to prevent a government shutdown.

The President and his supporters believe that the Republicans want a government shutdown (which will begin on October 1, 2013) and want to blame the White House for it as well.

Yet the Democrats are clear about where they stand, best expressed by Senator Chuck Schumer, who said, “We’re sending the strong message to the House, we will not blink. Don’t get it into your heads that we will. We won’t. Don’t make it part of your strategy that eventually we’ll cave, we won’t. We’re unified, we’re together. You’re not.”

The White House has also stepped up the fight by threatening to veto the bill while other prominent Democrats such as Harry Reid believes that “any bill that attempts to defund ObamaCare is dead and a waste of time”.

In a written statement, the White House considers the bill to be a threat against the middle class and its interests with support from top Democrats who have vowed to defeat this measure set in motion by the House Republicans.

Alternatively, another measure pertaining to the debt-limit measure will be brought to the floor of the House in the next week so as to permit the government to pay off its bills and allow the Treasury to borrow money without restraint for another year.
