WASHINGTON – Today, President Barack Obama announced his intent to nominate the following individual to a key administration post:

William J. Hybl is currently Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of El Pomar Foundation, one of the largest private foundations in the Rocky Mountain west. Mr. Hybl also served as Chairman and Vice Chairman of International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES). Mr. Hybl has served as Chairman and Vice Chairman of the U.S. Advisory Commission on Public Diplomacy under Presidents George H. W. Bush, William J. Clinton and George W. Bush and in 2001 President George W. Bush appointed Mr. Hybl as the U.S. Representative to the 56th General Assembly of the United Nations. Mr. Hybl served as Special Counsel to President Ronald Reagan in 1981 and was elected to the Colorado House of Representatives in 1972. He is the recipient of the Outward Bound Compass Award for a lifetime of outstanding service to America’s young people. He is President Emeritus of the United States Olympic Committee and also serves as Chairman of the U.S. Olympic Foundation. Mr. Hybl holds a J.D from the University of Colorado and a B.A in Political Science from Colorado College.
