President Obama Names Christopher R. Thyer to Serve as U.S. Attorney

WASHINGTON – Today, President Obama nominated Christopher R. Thyer to serve as U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas.
“Christopher Thyer has shown an unwavering dedication to justice throughout his career,” said President Obama. “I am confident that he will serve the people of Arkansas with distinction as a United States Attorney.”

Christopher R. Thyer has been a partner at Stanley & Thyer, P.A., since 2007.  Prior to this, Thyer was a partner at Halsey & Thyer, PLC from 2005 to 2007, and at Mooney Law Firm, P.A., from 1997 to 2005.  From 1995 to 1997, he was a sole practitioner.  He also served in the Arkansas House of Representatives as a State Representative for the 74th District from 2003 to 2009.  Thyer graduated from Arkansas State University in 1991 and from the University of Arkansas School of Law in 1995.
