WASHINGTON, DC – Today, President Barack Obama announced his intent to nominate the following individual to a key Administration post:

President Obama announced his intent to nominate the following individual to a key Administration post:

Victoria A. Lipnic, Nominee for Commissioner, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission

Victoria A. Lipnic is serving as a Commissioner of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), a position she has held since 2010.  Prior to joining the EEOC, Ms. Lipnic served Of Counsel to Seyfarth Shaw LLP.  From 2002 to 2009, Ms. Lipnic served as the Assistant Secretary of Labor for Employment Standards at the Department of Labor.  She also served as Workforce Policy Counsel on the Education and Labor Committee in the United States House of Representatives.  Before that, Ms. Lipnic was in-house counsel for labor and employment matters at the United States Postal Service for six years.  She previously served as a Special Assistant for Business Liaison to former Secretary of Commerce Malcolm Baldrige.  Ms. Lipnic received a B.A. from Allegheny College and a J.D. from George Mason University School of Law.
