The Vice President spoke to Prime Minister Haider Al-Abadi ahead of their meeting on September 29 at the United Nations General Assembly to discuss regional events. Both leaders reaffirmed their joint commitment to combat ISIL and to further strengthen the strong ties between the United States and Iraq.
