Statement by the Press Secretary on H.R. 313, H.R. 322, H.R. 323, H.R. 324, H.R. 558, H.R. 623, H.R. 774, H.R. 1442, H.R. 1884, H.R. 3059, S. 1362, S. 2162

On Thursday, November 5, 2015, the President signed into law:

H.R. 313, the “Wounded Warriors Federal Leave Act of 2015,” which provides leave to newly-hired Federal employees who are veterans with a service-connected disability of 30 percent or more, for purposes of undergoing medical treatment related to such service-connected disability;

H.R. 322, which designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 16105 Swingley Ridge Road in Chesterfield, Missouri, as the Sgt. Zachary M. Fisher Post Office;

H.R. 323, which designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 55 Grasso Plaza in St. Louis, Missouri, as the Sgt. Amanda N. Pinson Post Office;

H.R. 324, which designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 11662 Gravois Road in St. Louis, Missouri, as the Lt. Daniel P. Riordan Post Office;

H.R. 558, which designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 55 South Pioneer Boulevard in Springboro, Ohio, as the Richard “Dick” Chenault Post Office Building;

H.R. 623, the “DHS Social Media Improvement Act of 2015,” which requires the Department of Homeland Security to establish within the Department a Social Media Working Group to enhance the dissemination of information through social media technologies between the Department and appropriate stakeholders;

H.R. 774, the “Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated Fishing Enforcement Act of 2015,” which (1) Enhances enforcement authorities against illegal fishing in waters governed by eight international fishery laws; (2) implements the Antigua Convention; and (3) implements the Agreement on Port State Measures to Prevent, Deter, and Eliminate Illegal, Unreported, and Unregulated Fishing;

H.R. 1442, which designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 90 Cornell Street in Kingston, New York, as the Staff Sergeant Robert H. Dietz Post Office Building;

H.R. 1884, which designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 206 West Commercial Street in East Rochester, New York, as the Officer Daryl R. Pierson Memorial Post Office Building;

H.R. 3059, which designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 4500 SE 28th Street, Del City, Oklahoma, as the James Robert Kalsu Post Office Building;

S. 1362, which allows for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services to waive, for purposes of testing innovative payment and delivery models, specified statutory requirements for a current-law program through which integrated Medicare and Medicaid benefits are delivered to beneficiaries; and

S. 2162, the “Librarian of Congress Succession Modernization Act of 2015,” which establishes a 10-year term of service for the Librarian of Congress.
