Wednesday, October 21

Akron, OH * 2:30PM ET – As part of her Reach Higher efforts, the First Lady will join LeBron James for a special event in Akron with thousands of students and parents from the LeBron James Family Foundation’s Wheels for Education and Akron I PROMISE Network programs. The event will highlight the importance of post-secondary education and take place at the University of Akron.

Earlier this year, the LeBron James Family Foundation and the University of Akron announced a commitment to financially cover a college education for thousands of the program’s current and future qualified students. In order to earn the scholarships, the students must graduate from a high school within the Akron Public School district and achieve standard testing, attendance, community service, and other academic standards as agreed to by the University and the LeBron James Family Foundation.
