Obama And Michelle Were On The Brink Of A ‘Divorce’, A New Book Reveals

June 1, 2012

It’s very clear to most Americans that President Obama and First Lady, Michelle are very much a couple in love. However, Edward Klein’s new book, The Amateur: Barack Obama in the White House, suggests that things were very different a few years ago when the President lost to Bobby Rush in 2000.

In his book, The Audacity of Hope, Obama talks about the effect the campaign had on his family life by writing, “When I launched my ill-fated congressional run, Michelle put up no pretense of being happy with the decision. My failure to clean up the kitchen suddenly became less endearing. Leaning down to kiss Michelle good-bye in the morning, all I would get was a peck on the cheek. By the time Sasha was born—just as beautiful, and almost as calm as her sister—my wife’s anger toward me seemed barely contained.”

While this does not suggest that Michelle wanted a divorce, Klein goes on to say that, based on his interviews with their friends she [Michelle] had drawn divorce papers up, even though the President and his wife seemed inseparable when he was elected to the Senate in 2004.

However, the White House has made a statement that this unauthorized biography can be deemed as a ‘brilliant work of fiction’, thanks to Klein’s numerous errors in his previous book titled “The Truth about Hilary”.

Recently, the National Enquirer reported that Michelle would leave the President if he sought a second term in office and as she considered the life of a President’s wife “hell”.
