With Rand Paul threatening to force expiration of the illegal NSA spy program, Obama made one last plea to Congress to at least limit certain surveillance powers while also adding that it would be irresponsible to follow-through with the expiration of the USA Freedom Act.
Apart from blaming certain senators, Obama, in his weekly address, said, “This is a matter of national security. We shouldn’t surrender the tools that help keep us safe. It would be irresponsible. It would be reckless.”
