President Obama’s approval ratings have moved up to 46 percent while his disapproval ratings have dropped to 50 percent.
According to an online Zogby poll which analyzed the responses of 1223 across the United States, found that his ratings have improved since late last June where his ratings hovered around 44%-54%.
That said, while he still has a bit to go in getting positive numbers with his voters, this improvement could be the key to helping the Democrats winning the 2014 elections.
Among the men, his support has gone up from 42% to 46% since June while his disapproval has dropped from 52% to 49%.
Apart from this, his support has also increased among Nikes (36-50 year olds), liberals, moderates, Democrats, African Americans and the Investor Class while the numbers have remained steady among Hispanics and First Globals (18-35 year olds).
It’s not surprising that only 26% feel that the country is moving in the right direction while 58% believe that it is moving in the wrong direction. As for Congress approval, it has dropped from 22% to 18% while its disapproval has dropped from 62% to 76%.
Even though the Democrats lost the 2010 elections due to low turnout, it seems that they will recover a lot of this support from Hispanics, African Americans, Creative Class, Investors, union households and NASCAR fans.
The only group that Obama has to reach out to are the young people who are disillusioned with not only by the President but also the way in which Congress is conducting its affairs. What is for sure is that he has to keep his overall numbers to the present 46% also in order to score a few Democratic victories.
